I’ve read articles claiming our sense of smell is most adept at triggering memories. While it’s true an occasional scent will spark a recollection, I find music often brings the memories flooding back.
There’s an oldies (when did the music of my youth became ‘oldies’?) that plays hits from the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Every day, a song or two will transport me back a decade or more.
